Anne-Marie Stranger FCHSM, CHE
Anne-Marie has extensive experience in the Health and Human Service Sector in both Australia and overseas including rural and remote areas. She has qualifications including Master of Public Health, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Business (Health Administration), Diploma of Project Management and Diploma in Lean Principles. She also has extensive emergency management qualifications and experience and is a LEADR registered Mediator and advanced conflict resolution practitioner.
Anne-Marie has held senior and executive management positions in the public health sector during the last 25 years. She is currently Manager Strategic Portfolios Projects, Office of the Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services Tasmania.
Her interests and experience include; health information management and informatics, organisational change management, human resource management, and organisational development, emergency management and conflict resolution. Anne-Marie has a passion for developing excellence in management and leadership. She has also held various lecturing posts and held membership of various National committees and working parties.
Anne-Marie’s focus is always on the client, ensuring their appropriate needs are met and wherever possible integrated with other aspects of their life. She works hard to achieve and influence quality, effective and safe services that are sustainable.
She has been a member of the Australian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) (previously Australian College of Health Service Executives) since 1990 and is on the ACHSM Board and President of the ACHSM Tasmanian Branch. She is a Councillor for the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association and Chair of the Board of Management for the Neighbourhood Houses.
Anne-Marie joined the Board in 2006 and was elected Chairman following Oakdale's 2009 Annual General Meeting.
