The Board of Directors is drawn from the families of clients, and from professional and business people in the community. Each member is elected for a two year term. Half of the members are eligible for re-election at each Annual General Meeting. The Board may appoint members to any existing vacancy.
Oakdale Services Tasmania is a registered company and as such each Director has the same legal responsibilities and liabilities as would any other Company Director. It is therefore run on sound, contemporary business principles.
Two Board Commitees are responsible for major facets of planning and oversight. These are the Finance and the Client Policy Committees.
Directors are also represented on the Asset Management, Quality Assurance and Risk Management Committees.
From time to time Working Groups are established under Board auspices to progress planning in specific areas of our Strategic Plan. These Groups bring together both Directors and people with particular expertise in the area under consideration.
