Oakdale Services currently has 56 clients in residence in eight properties. All are located in the greater Hobart area.
We also manage a Community Access Service, again located in the Hobart area.
The Oakdale Services philosophy is one which places the client at the centre of our organisation. Within all of our service divisions and across our eight properties we strive to maximise the quality of life enjoyed by every client.
Client input is the cornerstone in developing program, activity and holiday planning.
Each client prepares an annual Personal Plan, in conjunction with Support Staff and Client Advocates. Here they express their goals and aspirations for the coming 12 months. It is then the role of staff to assist them within the available resources.

Clients are involved in a variety of day time activities. Many are employed by such organisations as Oak Enterprises and Plane Tree Studios; others have retired; and some may attend school. All may be participants in Community Access Services provided by other organisations.
An important part of assessing the quality of services to our clients is our Client Satisfaction and Family Satisfaction surveys. On a regular basis, a sample of our clients is surveyed by independent Client Advocates to determine how well, from the clients' point of view, we have: supported them in meeting their personal goals and aspirations; and provided a good and safe environment for them. A similar independent survey of family members measures their opinions of Oakdale Services.
Reports on the Survey Results are provided to the Board and senior management for assessment, recommendation and action. These results are then made generally available.
