Donations and Bequests


Oakdale Services Tasmania will accept gratefully any donations and bequests made to us.

Any such donations or bequests will be used directly to provide facilities or additional services to our clients. This can make a significant difference to the lifestyle and options available to our clients.

Your donation or bequest may be directed to the building fund; used to update facilities at properties owned by Oakdale Services; purchase equipment for the use of clients; or be put to other purposes of direct benefit to clients. They will not be used for general administrative or day to day costs.

You may choose to specify a purpose or not at your own discretion.

All donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be forwarded.

Recent donations received include:

  • Rosny Park Bowls Club - $700 for general client amenities
  • Seniors Bureau, Department of Premier & Cabinet - $1,500 for art exhibition
  • MyState Foundation - $4,200 for two massage chairs
  • Tasmanian Community Fund - $9,640 for 2 massage chairs and Book library
  • Oakdale Lodge staff - $2,000 for 1 massage chair
  • Tasmanian Community Fund - $57,584 for Wheelchair accessible vehicle
  • Connect Credit Union - $2,908 for a beach wheelchair
  • Ms Betty Bateman - funds for a second beach wheelchair

    Bequests

    If you choose to remember us in your Will, we suggest you contact your Solicitor or Trustee for any specific wording required. We would prefer a bequest without restrictions as to its particular use as this allows us to use your gift to best meet the needs of our clients.

    The following wording may be suitable:

    "I give, devise and bequeath the sum of      (or the residue of my estate) to Oakdale Services Tasmania and I declare that the receipt of its Treasurer or other proper official shall be good and sufficient discharge to my trustees"
